Morocco is a mining country by excellence, with 240 mining sites distributed throughout its territory. Many mines deposit waste rock and waste from excavation and ore processing. As a result, they harm the surrounding environment by their negative impacts, manifested by dust, soil and water pollution, the destruction or disruption of natural habitats of local flora and fauna, and visual impacts. on the landscape. In order to control and stabilize this mining waste, an approach that is still young in Morocco, is used through a vegetation cover of based on native plants species. This approach will help regenerate local biodiversity at mining sites and reintegrate them into their environment. By focusing on vascular plants, a qualitative as well as a quantitative study of the floristic diversity at the site and its surroundings will be interesting in order to select the species for their multiplication and planting on the mine site.
